PJS have recently completed what can only be described as the most challenging job they have undertaken - providing a new sound and visual system in the Jewel House at the Tower of London. Having to be done in complete secrecy, we had to install over 50 new loudspeakers and eight new projectors, with over twenty of the speakers being located in the vault with the Crown Jewels!! Getting over five and a half kilometres of speaker cable into the most secure vault in Britain proved to be a huge daunting task. The project eventually took nearly two months to complete, and to everybody's delight the new exhibition opened in time for the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
PJS were recently requested to travel to Dhahran, on the Arabian Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia to install the interactive Audio Visual exhibits on the travelling '1001 Inventions of the Muslim World' exhibition. This exhibition has now made an appearance in London, San Francisco, Washington DC and Abu Dhabi (which is where PJS first got involved with it, spending a week in a tent on the beach on Abu Dhabi's famous Corniche Promenade). In Dhahran the location was not so glamorous, the tent being located at the site of Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia's main oil company, which was on the edge of the desert. Add to that the air conditioning not being able to cope with the 110' heat meant a hot job!!.PJS again prevailed, and the exhibition opened on time.
PJS were recently requested to travel to St Helier, Jersey, to install an Audio Visual conferencing system into Blackrock's new Jersey boardroom. Blackrock have offices all over the world, and a video conferencing solution using their own network allows them to have meetings and talk to each other without the high cost of travel! This is a solution that many companies are now implementing, and PJS are being asked more and more to install such facilities, both in UK offices, and abroad
This is not the first time PJS have been to Jersey. In fact we carried out several large installs in both Jersey and Guernsey in 2007 and 2008, and this trip gave us an opportunity to catch up with some old friends.

PJS were commissioned to return to the Middle East, this time to Doha in Qatar, to once again re-install the touring '1001 Inventions' exhibition. This time the exhibition was sited in the grounds of the famous Museum of Islamic Art, which is built on a man made island in the West Bay of Doha, just off the Al Corniche bay road. We were ideally placed for one of the most famous views in Qatar - that of the Doha skyline as seen from across the bay! This time we had an almost luxurious tent, with excess air conditioning capability, and the setup went like clockwork, leaving us enough time to pay a visit to local Souq, where we enjoyed local food, and got our Qatar football scarves in preparation for the 2020 World cup. Once again, the exhibition opened its door on schedule and is (hopefully!) attracting plenty of visitors.
